Shortest tuna season ‘one of the best’ – Brian Jeffriess on ABC Rural

The South Australian tuna industry is describing this year’s fishing season as one of the best seasons seen in decades and one of the shortest.

Fishing of the tuna has finished more than a month ahead of usual.

Industry spokesman Brian Jeffriess says this is due to an abundance of fish closer to shore and it’s a great result for the industry.
